The launch of NeoPhotonics PBS integrated coherent receiver ( ICR )

On March 9, 2011, intensive bandwidth, high speed communication network using PIC ( photonic integrated circuit ) components, modules and subsystems leading designer and manufacturer, NeoPhotonics ( Frestech, New York Stock Exchange: NPTN ), today at the California Convention and Exhibition Center in Losangeles at the 2011 OFC fair announced the introduction of a novel based on the PIC ( photon integrated circuit ) 40/100G DWDM transmission system with integrated coherent receiver ( ICR ), the ICR includes integrated polarizing beam splitter ( PBS ).
The new NeoPhotonics® ICR ICR can make the system designers save additional PBS, thereby reducing the space occupied by the device on board. The product support OIF integrated dual polarization of coherent Intradyne receiver implementing agreement. NeoPhotonics ®ICR can make the system through the analysis of signal light and reference light with polarization and phase relationship, to restore the 100G dual polarization four phase shift keying modulation ( DP-QPSK ) phase and polarization of the signal constellation diagram.
NeoPhotonics CEO and chairman Tim Jenks said: " NeoPhotonics integrated PBS ICR main advantages include: it allows the user to save the line cards of the external light splitter and simplify the fiber winding. Through the use of integrated photonic technology, we can not change the appearance of ICR in the size of the integrated polarizing beam splitter ( PBS ), thus to enhance the customer's design efficiency. "
In addition to today announced the ICR, the NeoPhotonics also provides 90 °hybrid coho mixer and the difference of four phase shift keying ( DQPSK ) by a demodulator, these products are based on the PIC technology.
NeoPhotonics will this week in the United States California Losangeles exhibition center holds 2011 OFC show these products,
